Learn & Live— practice praxis
Here is the organic relation of theory and practice; the child not simply doing things, but getting also the idea of what he does ; getting from the start some intellectual conception that enters into his practice and enriches it; while every idea finds, directly or indirectly, some application in experience & has some effect upon life. John Dewey, The School and Society
it's a critical thinking revolution, babe!
Philosophy, from Socrates on, has been concerned with thinking carefully about how to live.... That combination of an interest in how to live and an interest in reasoning carefully about it, bringing together these two things that seem so different— close reasoning and a concern with man's place in the universe, the meaning of it all, how to live— this has to remain part of philosophy.
